India beat Bangladesh by an innings and 46 runs.

With an innings and 46 runs win over Bangladesh in the second Test, India clinched their seventh consecutive Test win. 

The Virat Kohli-led side became the first ever to register four consecutive innings wins. 

Virat Kohli's 136 and Ishant Sharma's nine wickets in the match helped India register an emphatic win.

India pacers completed the formality in the first session on Day 3, bundling out Bangladesh for 195 in their second innings to register an innings and 46-run win at the 

Eden Gardens

 in Kolkata. With this win, India swept the two-match series 2-0. The victory for the hosts was even sweeter as they also registered their first ever Pink Ball Test win. This was also India's seventh straight Test win, their best-ever winning streak. Resuming on the overnight score of 152/7, Bangladesh resistance lasted 50 minutes as Umesh Yadav cleaned up the lower order. The pacer got the breakthrough early, removing Ebadot Hossain with a good bouncer. Rahim (74) once again showed resistance but was eventually deceived by Umesh's slower ball. Al-Amin was the final wicket to fall as Umesh finished with figures of 5/53. Mahmudullah, who got retired hurt yesterday after pulling his hamstring didn't came out to bat. The India pacers took all 20 wickets and this is the first time India have won a Test without a wicket from their spinners - the last time was in Johannesburg last year, when they played four fast bowlers.

: They hunt as a pack, they have their processes set and they take a lot of pride in each others' performances, not just in theirs, so that's the secret behind the pack. They work on the basics a lot. We are an experienced bowling attack, and the beauty is how quickly they adapt to situations. I thought they adapted beautifully to these conditions. New Zealand will be a good challenge and we are really looking forward to it.

: In the last 3-4 years, we have had an amazing pace attack, all 140+. We have been successful outside and at home. It has been wobbling and swinging all that, especially under lights. It's not that only spin is dominant now for India. I've never tried anything specifically for the conditions in terms of keeping, just tried to do the basic right. Bumrah is number one on the list - after than Shami, Umesh, Ishant in that order, but didn't really struggle much.
